Doug Walters
Columbia SC native and USC graduate, Doug Walters moved to Charleston in 1993 when he began his professional musical career. Since then he has long been a fixture in the rich musical scene of the deep South, including his longtime role as guitar player in the seminal funk and soul Charleston band, The Secrets, and many other noteworthy bands. He really found his true calling with music in 2015 when he decided to forge a career in the solo acoustic scene.
With an amazing, soulful voice and incredible, award winning guitar skills, he has built quite the reputation and is always in high demand. He plays professionally full time throughout the southeast, with several longstanding regular gigs in and around Charleston, as well as many private parties, events and weddings.
With a natural passion for playing music and connecting with people of all ages, he averages about 250 gigs per year.
