Charles Cook
Songwriter, performer, multi instrumentalist, and world traveler. He has played his music throughout Europe and the United States, and last year arrived in Charleston from Nashville, TN. He has formally studied music theory and performance under professors of Temple University. Currently Charles is performing in various venues around the greater Charleston area. You can catch him playing his music solo acoustic, as a duo, and also performing with a full band. He caters his music to the crowd and the type of venue, showcasing his original music when appropriate, and other times playing cool covers from such artists as the Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and more. The music that you will hear him perform ranges from Classic Rock, Traditional Blues, Alternative Folk and Outlaw Country. Whatever you hear him playing at any given time will always be performed in his own style, never mimicking or copying other artists' or songwriters' renditions or recordings. You can always be sure that his performance will be original and unique, whether he's playing his own original "Rock 'N' Roots'"music or if he's covering other artists' songs.
